Besides the spectaculair nature, le Marche has a long history. Lots of towns have a culture and history that dates back from the early ages. Some examples;

– Falerone (Amfitheatro Romano)

– San Ginnesio (Balcony of the Sibillini)

– Loreto (Basilica and Cloister/pilgrimage)

Slightly more distant, but well within reach for a one day visit

– Assissi (Umbria)

– Perugia (Umbria)

There are numerous excellent restaurants in our neighbourhood

– One of our favourites is certainly ‘Pippo e Gabriela’ (see picture left)

  located in Sant Angelo in Pontano ( 10  mins drive)

– Il Re Leone offers a wide variety, from pizza over pasta to meat

  located in Servigliano (15 mins drive)

– Hotel San Marco, slightly more expensive, but certainly excellent

 located in Servigliano (15 mins drive)

 

If you are willing to take the car out for a slightly longer journey, the seaside as well as the mountains have a lot to offer 

– Make sure to check out Papillon (excellent fresh fish and seafood)

 located in Porto Sant’ Elpidio (40 mins drive)

– Uliassi is a *** Michelin restaurant, certainly worth the trip

 located in Senigallia (1h 30mins drive)
