Magritte, double bedroom

Magritte is one of the larger rooms in our main building. It is equipped with a matrimonial bed (160mx200m), you have ample storage ( 2 build in closets), a cosy corner and a large bathroom (toilet, large sink, and a step-in shower).

Magritte has its own private terras, including seperate entry into the room itself.

There is a connecting inner door to “Ensor”. On request, a family of 4 (or 3) can book both rooms . We welcome youngsters from the age of 12 onwards. We do not currently provide accomodations for very young children.

René Margritte (1898-1967) is one of the best known Belgian surrealist painters. His most famous work “La trahison des images” displaying the painted text “ceci n’est pas une pipe” forces the viewer to think about art. One often can find a metamorphosis in his works or an impossible situation (such as houses at night with a clear sky). According to Magritte, there is always something behind that what we see, and we are always looking for this hidden item.

The Magritte Museum is located in Brussels (www.musee-magritte-museum.be).

In Jette (Brussels) you can also visit the former home of the Magritte couple (magrittemuseum.be).
