Delvaux, double bedroom
Delvaux is one of the typical rooms in our main building. It is equipped with a matrimonial bed (160mx200m), you have ample storage (150 cm wide closet), a cosy corner and a large bathroom (toilet, sink, and a step-in shower).
Paul Delvaux (1897-1994)
Paul Delvaux is considered as one of the most important members of the Belgian surrealism movement, but he himself did not agree with this point of view. He found this art movement too superficial. He considered himsels as a “poet.” His paintings are characterized by naked women staring in infinity, trains, temples and electricity poles. These illogical combinations – despite the naturalistic representation – create a strange atmosphere. These a-typical compositions made him internationally known.
