Our Italian story started a long time ago, in the magical year 2000. Some of his fellow students convinced Bart to buy a motorcycle again, for the first time in many years. This resulted in a roadtrip to one of the lesser known regions in Italy, namely le Marche. The combination of the astonishing nature (le Marche is a very green region) with a countryside that was (still is) virtually unspoiled by the mass tourism that hits some other parts of Italy very hard, was a real discovery. The three friends spread so much enthousiasm about the region during the next year of Italian night school classes in Leuven, that Yo – who at that time had been searching for a house in either Tuscany or Umbria – decided to expand the search area and look also in le Marche. It was there that she discovered the ruin, that later became Casa Dionisio, but boy, what an astonishing view …. Or, as Italians say, Che Bellavista
